History

History of Hancock-Harrison Alcorn Alumni Chapter

The Hancock-Harrison Alcorn Alumni Chapter (HHAAC) of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association was chartered in 1994 during the tenure of Dr. John Walls, Jr., then president of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association.

During the first years, the membership increased two-fold and conducted fundraising events which included contracting the concession stand for the North Gulfport Baseball Arena.  Hancock-Harrison Alumni Chapter was an active participant in each of the three National Alumni Draw-Down Fundraisers with no less than five (5) members and selling no less than 25% of all ticket sales.

​Today, the membership has increased to over twenty-five (25) active members, 14 of which are Life Members of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association.  Hancock-Harrison Alcorn Alumni Chapter continued to make annual financial contributions as well as provide support to all ASU National Alumni Fundraising activities.
